Overview
Assemble and wire electrical control panels for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Panels include Variable Frequency Drive, Soft Start, and custom control panels using Programmable Logic Controllers or relay logic. This role will assist in the manufacturing process and help ensure processes and procedures are being followed and documented. Responsibilities
Read and understand electrical schematics. Knowledge of schematic symbols, panel components, and general wiring practices. Familiar with proper sizing of power cabling per the NEC. Hand and power tool operation including drills, jigsaws, knockout punches, and electric/hydraulic crimpers. Computer skills to print wire and component labels. Ensure proper component layout per NEC and AID standards. Assemble components to back pans and enclosures and wire per electrical schematic. High level of precision required for correct wire connections and component placement. Conduct thorough electrical testing of completed panels to ensure proper functionality and identify any wiring errors. Requirements
Strong understanding of electrical theory, including voltage, current, power, and circuit design. Must be able to read a tape measure and use standard hand and power tools. Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent electrical training. Minimum 1 year experience with industrial control panel building preferred. Computer skills to print wire and component labels. Must be detail-oriented. Must practice good/safe housekeeping. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work in an industrial area and involves manual labor. Candidates must be able to bend/lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Must comply with PPE requirements. Prior knowledge of UL and NEC standards. Prior experience in a UL 508A/UL 698A manufacturing facility. Must demonstrate they are a safety leader. Prior experience working in a 5S manufacturing facility. Seniority level
