Job Summary: The Driller will be responsible for creating boreholes and conducting soil and rock sampling to provide critical information for construction projects. Duties & Responsibilities: Operates drilling equipment to create boreholes for various construction purposes. Performs drilling activities to obtain soil and rock samples. Conducts subsurface investigations to gather data for construction planning and design. Extracts soil and rock samples using appropriate drilling techniques. Assists in laboratory testing of samples to determine soil composition and characteristics. Works closely with geologists, engineers, and other construction team members to provide accurate subsurface information. Adheres to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment during drilling operations. Performs routine maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Reports any equipment issues or malfunctions promptly. Maintains accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, soil types encountered, and any unexpected conditions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities: Proficient in the operation of drilling equipment and various drilling techniques. Knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles. Ability to interpret drilling logs and subsurface investigation reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification or training in drilling operations is required. At least one year of related experience is required.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working with large and possibly noisy equipment. Must have excellent depth perception, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate all machines safely. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
