We are searching for a talented HVAC Mechanic

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Responsibilities Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee, perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and systems throughout the facilities. Perform renovations and install new HVAC/R systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems. Maintain HVAC/R inventory. Make repairs, calibrate and functionally test equipment and systems. Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Heating preferred.

Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.

Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Systems.

Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, energy management systems and associated equipment.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying that you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay Range USD $29.33 – $50.24 /Hr.
