Russell Marine LLC . Location: St. Petersburg, FL. Compensation: $20.00-$30.00 per hour. This position is full-time and involves carpentry work related to pouring concrete in marine terminals, dock facilities, and/or railroad bridges. Responsibilities
Construct, erect, install, and repair concrete forms. Use hand or power tools to shape, cut, sharpen, smooth, and finish surfaces. Read dimensions from plans and drawings to determine material sizes and shapes. Tie reinforcing steel and assist in concrete placement for decks, bulkheads/seawalls, and other structures. Assist in excavation activities, hoisting materials, cleaning and preparing the site, digging trenches, setting braces and forms, shoveling concrete/dirt, and site cleanup. Maintain a clean job site and secure tools and equipment daily to prevent hazards. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or be willing/eligible to obtain one upon hire. Experience: 6 months to 1 year of general carpentry experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Thorough knowledge of carpentry materials and safe work practices, with specialization in concrete. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications
Certification: Completion of an apprenticeship or on-the-job training program. Experience: 5+ years of concrete-specific carpentry and/or carpentry finisher experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: General knowledge of marine or railroad construction; bilingual in English and Spanish. Working Conditions
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. May need to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear protection, steel-toe shoes, PFD, etc.) as required. Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, temperature changes, dust, humidity, loud noises, and vibration. May require long hours, weekends, and some out-of-town travel. Physical requirements include movement across uneven surfaces, climbing, lifting (minimum 10 lbs; maximum 50 lbs for a single lift). Company Information
