Based in Venice, Florida, we specialize in the repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6, PW100, and JT15D hot section components.
Summary The sheet metal technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks such as repairing sheet metal, fabricating, assembling, and modifying sheet metal of the turbine engine aircraft component.
Shift B Shift is 4-10 Hour days Wednesday through Saturday.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lay out and interpret plans from blueprints, cutting and shaping metal, and assembling components to build or repair turbine engines
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged sheet metal parts including skin cracks, spar repairs, and other structural issues
Use a variety of hand and power tools including drills, rivet guns, shears, and other specialized equipment.
Use of material knowledge and different types of sheet metal and their properties
Ensure precise measurements and high quality workmanship for each engine component
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve company goals
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma
2+ year of relevant/technical work experience
Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
Ability to read and interpret CMM’s
Strong attention to detail and precision
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Requirements
Associate’s degree
4+ years of aviation maintenance experience
