High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License with a current driving record free from serious or frequent violation. Experience working with all types of woodworking equipment. Experience
3+ years’ experience as a marine construction worker familiar with form work, pouring concrete, and pile driving operations. Experience with the installation of sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H‑Piles. Experience with the construction of bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharfs, and jetties. Experience working with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel and the capability to learn new computer software including tablet‑based safety programs and job/project reporting. Skills
Committed to contributing to a culture of safety. Ability to cut and weld steel using underwater welding / burning equipment, jigs, and supports. Highly reliable with good organizational skills and the ability to work unsupervised. Great interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a crew and interact with customers. Responsibilities
Conduct marine construction tasks under the direction of a crew leader. Shape, cut, drill, handle, and erect heavy treated timber caps, clamps, stringers, decking, etc. Install various concrete form ties and accessories; assist with reinforcement, grading, and other related tasks for concrete placement and removal. Safely operate power saws, grinders, roto hammers, power drills, Hilti guns, burning torches, impact wrenches, table saws, chains, and cable jacks. Perform layout accurately using a rule, framing square, plumb bob, and level. Rig property to move from one place/position to another. Signal and safely place heavy loads with crane assistance or other specialized lifting devices. Additional duties as assigned. Physical Demands / Working Environment
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs; climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials. Move heavy objects (94 lbs. or more) short distances (20’ or less). Move light objects (less than 94 lbs.) long distances (more than 20’). Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. Lifts arms above shoulder level. Climbs ladders or steps to reach objects. Works at heights of up to 50’ or more. Works in confined or enclosed spaces. Sits or stands for long periods of time. Wears a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety‑toed boots, and other applicable PPE. Walks moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more). Sits in the operator’s seat of equipment and reaches all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc., required to safely operate the equipment. Adequate hearing and vision for safety operations. Hourly Rates
