Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our experienced service team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with marine engines and systems, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality repairs and maintenance services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard marine engines
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tune‑ups, winterization, and summerization
Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems
Conduct engine installations, removals, and replacements
Inspect and service propulsion systems, drives, and propellers
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations and service updates
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards
Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Stay current with manufacturer updates and technical bulletins
Required Qualifications
2-5 years of hands‑on marine mechanic experience
Strong knowledge of marine engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser preferred)
Experience with marine electrical systems and diagnostics
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine‑specific equipment
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Marine technician certification from manufacturer or vocational school
Experience with stern drives, jet drives, and propulsion systems
Knowledge of marine electronics and navigation equipment
Previous marina or marine dealership experience
