Construction Process Piping Technician

In this role you will support the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor process piping systems, including UPW, plastic, gas and chemical delivery systems, within our advanced cleanroom environments.
Responsibilities
Install and maintain semiconductor process piping systems (UPW, plastic, gas, chemical), ensuring proper routing, secure connections, and strict adherence to cleanroom contamination protocols.
pipe, threading and joining using welding, brazing and compression fittings. Read and accurately interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, schematics and P&IDs.
Conduct leak, pressure and performance testing and inspections.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during tool installation, utility alignment and leak detection.
Perform material handling, basic equipment setup and workspace cleanup.
Maintain accurate records of piping installations and inspections.
Collaborate with other trades and engineering teams.
Participate in on‑job training and classroom instruction.
For experienced candidates, lead teams, coordinate material shortages, monitor installation quality and provide mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Specific experience in process piping installation and maintenance preferred.
Strong attention to detail, willingness to follow instructions and cleanroom protocols.
Proficiency in process piping installation (routing and securing pipes).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Competency in welding, brazing and compression fittings.
Familiarity with semiconductor cleanroom standards and piping protocols.
Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds, work on ladders/lifts, in tight spaces, stand or walk for significant portions, frequent grasping or bending.
Travel overseas for extended training periods may be required.
International project support willingness.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification.
Welding/Brazing certification.
Experience in a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
Prior supervisory or management experience for senior positions.
Shift Expectations TSMC Arizona operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This position requires willingness to work any shift. The compressed work week shift structure is 4 days on/3 days off followed by 3 days on/4 days off, each shift 12 hours. Night shifts and weekend on‑call rotations are part of the 24/7 environment.
