Yard Driver**Job Overview**
The Yard Driver is primarily responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the company needs. The Yard Driver will also be responsible for completing local deliveries as needed. Other responsibilities include:* Operate Yard Truck to maneuver and park large, oversized loads.* Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers.* Must function and interact daily with distribution center personnel and comply with safety requirements.* Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and personnel.* Move trailers in and out of bays, inspect new deliveries and provide support where needed.* Maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.* Wear and proper use of personal protective equipment.* Maintain compliance with ELD, vehicle condition reports, and all other aspects of DOT compliance.
