Merchco Services, Inc. is a leading national provider of retail store development and services including project management, merchandising, fixture installation, graphics installation, customer millwork and logistics. We seek only those self-sufficient individuals that are highly motivated, extremely productive and drive to produce the highest quality results in a fast paced, demanding atmosphere. We currently have opportunities for experienced Retail Merchandisers to assist with our national remodel/new store programs of well-known national retailers. The position requires extensive travel, a personal vehicle, tools, and a checking account for direct deposit of pay. Experience with store remodels, store setup crews, big box retail experience and /or new store openings is highly desired. You will be required to work an 8-10 hour day. Qualifying travel expenses are reimbursed. All employees will be required to participate in a comprehensive training program. Position Description Responsible for presenting a professional image of Merchco Services to our clients and retail personnel Ability to read schematics and merchandise actual store according to POG Ability to read label descriptions and UPC codes to ensure shelf tagged correctly Extensive profiling of bays and sections, including shelving and accessories Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays Work in new store, remodel, and reset/roll-out environments, including overnight work in typically up to two-week projects Able to travel extensively for projects nationwide Ability to work effectively independently as well as a part of a team Maintain a positive relationship with co-workers and store personnel Maintain a clean work environment and follow all company safety policies Work with a sense of urgency while having attention to detail Fixture knowledge: General knowledge of retail fixtures and shelving. Ability to learn how to build and demo gondola shelving units Qualifications: Practical knowledge and use of hand and power tools Must provide personal tools, i.e. tape measure, box blade, screwdriver, drills, saws, etc (full tool list will be provided) Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and willing to drive up to 500 miles Ability to climb ladders Must be capable of working overnight shifts Ability/Willing to travel throughout the US when needed Ability to perform daily essential physical functions of lifting up to 50 pounds Must be able to interact with general public Must be able to complete general paperwork Must have access to internet and device for company communication and reporting.
