Responsibilities
Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
Install or repair according to specifications (Copper, CPVC, black iron).
Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
Cut and bore holes in structures such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains before pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut.
Inspect, examine and test installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauges, hydro‑static testing, observation and other methods.
Troubleshoot problems in the piping systems we build.
Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred 2 years working as a plumber/pipefitter.
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to work 12‑hour shifts.
Experience with Job Boss inventory system.
2‑3 years in pipefitting/plumbing or a similar trade.
Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials such as supports and hangers per job specifications.
