Structural Steel Fabricator role at Macuch Steel Products. Base pay range is provided by Macuch Steel Products. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr Responsibilities
Fabricate steel main members (beams and columns) as well as other projects (tube sockets, roof opening frames, etc.). Ensure proper placement and assembly of weld parts (piecework). Read Structural Steel drawings and uphold quality standards. MIG weld and work with metal core wire. Qualifications
Proficient with cutting torch to cope and detail components for proper fit-up. Knowledge of a variety of structural members (beams, channel, angle). Layout of holes, cutouts, notches, etc. to specified dimensions and within tolerances. Identify and gather components needed from BOM. Ability to plan work and keep projects on schedule. Must be able to pass a basic tack test and fillet weld test. Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour day. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. or turn over a beam or column. Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts and weld gun. Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings, and perform normal math calculations. Strong general mechanical skills. Must be able to pass drug and criminal background screenings. Job details
