ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Small engine/diesel truck mechanic with electrical experience
Must have own tools and diesel experience & references
Experience with skid‑steers, backhoes, mini excavators and loaders
Familiarity with Ford trucks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Repairing and maintaining a motor fleet and equipment
Knowledge of landscape and small engine equipment
Proficiency in mechanics—troubleshooting, repair, hydraulic systems, gasoline, diesel, basic electric, fabrication welding
Document work completed and order/inventory parts and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and servicing to minimize breakdowns and keep equipment in top shape
Perform parts ordering and inventory control of common parts
Demonstrate solid mechanical ability to troubleshoot and make repairs or outsource repairs on vehicles, tools and equipment used in the green industry
Communicate with all personnel regarding equipment health and repair schedules
Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
Perform other related duties as required or as directed
Skid steer, loader, and heavy machine repair is a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1 year loader operator experience (a bonus)
Possession of valid Massachusetts Driver’s License
Knowledge of how to operate a Bobcat/loader is a plus but not a necessity
Hydraulics license is a plus but not a necessity
