Job Description
ExacTech Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, WI is seeking 1st and 2nd shift Steel Fitters to join our heavy fabrication team. Fitter welders are responsible for the layout and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural steel and have the opportunity for in‑house job training. Shift Schedules
1st Shift: Monday‑Thursday 5:45 AM‑3:15 PM; Friday 6:45 AM‑10:45 AM (½ day Fridays) 2nd Shift: Monday‑Thursday 3:30 PM‑2:00 AM (3‑day weekend) Job Responsibilities
Layout, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms Assemble metal parts to create finished sheet/structural metal projects Use jacks, pry bars, hammers, saws, welding equipment or torches, and files or grinders Operate handheld torches and/or plasma cutters Position, fit, and align tack pieces Read weld blueprints; measure workpiece to specifications Operate overhead cranes and jib cranes Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned Job Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent desired Ability to read blueprints and drawings Ability to use a tape measure and convert measurements into decimals Follow verbal and written work instructions Maintain regular attendance Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Employee Benefits
