Mortenson The base compensation range for this role is $34-44 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Responsibilities
Provide oversight to multiple crews on the project and work with subcontractors on scheduling and managing crew tasks. Ensure project quality and safety; ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed. Ensure proper IWP is in place and understood by the crew. Examine blueprints to determine the dimensions of the structure and lay out floor-plan and cabinetry using appropriate tools. Select materials and structural units, inspect them for conformance with building codes. Determine sequence of activities for fabrication, assembly and erection of the structure. Assign workers to tasks such as cutting material, building forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring. Inspect work performed by subcontractors (e.g., ductwork, wiring, pipe installations) for conformance with specifications. Install doors, build stairs, and lay hardwood floors. Set grades and elevations; unload, stockpile and erect pre-fabricated materials. Order necessary materials in advance to prevent shortages. Concrete and rough carpentry tasks (hand set walls, footings, wall forms, structural decks, slabs, columns, drywall). Finish carpentry tasks (doors, hardware, and related installations). Train craft and foremen on job procedures. Supervise crews with daily progress checks, verifying safety, quality and productivity. Assign daily tasks; verify timecards; lead by example and coach team members; manage performance and foster inclusive relationships. Perform all other duties as assigned. Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy. Ability to interpret drawings or diagrams and read plans. Ability to operate equipment such as table saws, drills, and form systems; awareness of fall protection. Strong teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills. Detail-oriented with active listening and effective communication; openness to diverse input. Essential Physical Requirements
Frequent and occasional physical tasks on construction sites as described (see original for specifics). Education and Experience
