Job Description WeldFit is looking for an experienced candidate to operate Manual Mill machines. The Machinist will perform machine maintenance and repairs, ensuring correct setup and quality control, while maintaining safety and efficiency in production.
Other Duties / Expectations
Report any manufacturing error to supervisor.
Immediately report incidents or accidents to immediate supervisor.
Adhere to company safety rules and regulations.
Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform basic housekeeping and machine maintenance.
Work with fractions, decimals, and trigonometry as needed.
Run Manual horizontal boring mill machine.
Operate a Carlton drill.
Use precision measuring instruments.
Perform machine set‑ups and indicator alignment without assistance.
Conduct quality checks on parts using inspection devices.
Collaborate with supervisor to achieve high production results.
Discuss ways to improve processes with plant manager.
Ask questions when drawings are unclear or complex.
Read blueprints and machine drawings; understand manufacturing documents and specifications.
Update time on job orders accurately.
Double‑check completed work.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb.
Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience machining similar types of products.
Experience with oilfield products preferred.
