Baytown, TX – Civil Foreman opening with Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX. OPD is part of Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) and serves the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. OPD provides construction services as well as engineering/procurement, enabling a one-stop shop for clients.
What You Will Do
Lead crews with strong knowledge of carpentry, tools, procedures, and best practices
Conduct morning production meetings with crews to discuss daily plans and concerns
Assign job tasks and ensure proper training for each crew member
Coordinate work according to priorities and plans
Serve as a safety role model and enforce OPD and client safety policies
Anticipate and report potential safety and environmental concerns to the OPD Superintendent
Communicate with the OPD Superintendent, Logistics Manager, and Construction Manager for material requirements and scheduling (e.g., concrete pours, rebar orders)
Verify forms and concrete are set within client specifications
Plan equipment, soil treatment, and safety considerations for all planned civil work; manage excavations and trenching
Lead by example, maintain a clean job site, and write daily reports, JSAs, and emails

Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
Be on time to the jobsite and work as a team
Physical Demands
Outdoor work in extreme heat/cold and varying elevations
Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs
Standing for extended periods (up to 11 hours per day) with breaks every ~2.5 hours
Frequent movement of the body, including climbing, lifting, bending, and using hands to handle tools
Basic Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as a civil foreman
Ability to read civil, structural, and pipe drawings
Ability to use a sight level and transit for coordinates and elevations
Previous gas plant construction experience
Experience leading teams of 10–30 people
Willingness to advance safety culture and lead across crafts
Travel with extended periods away from home in remote areas
Pre-employment drug screen and background check
Willingness to attend and/or lead employee safety meetings
Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
What Will Put You Ahead

Fully competent with excavation, trenching, soil work and safety considerations
Progression into field leadership and experience across multiple crafts: pipe, civil, structural
