Summary of Role This position will perform community lending activities in all Broadview market areas, serving as a liaison to commercial and community groups and agencies, and actively promoting commercial and special lending initiatives in designated geographic areas. The role cultivates relationships with commercial and community entities, delivering the highest level of service.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Promote, develop and manage commercial relationships
Establish and maintain high visibility in the community while working with special lending initiatives for commercial loans
Assist in the development of special lending programs to support the underserved
Facilitate and host presentations for community groups and businesses on Broadview products and services
Review a borrower’s financial data, credit and collateral to determine the company’s creditworthiness and viability of granting a member business loan
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicant’s credit history, corporate financial statements and other relevant financial information
Travel within all Broadview market areas to call on businesses, community groups, agencies and members – including some travel and overnight trips to the Binghamton and Syracuse markets
Review all commercial files for accuracy prior to submission for approval
Act as the primary contact with members requesting commercial loans
Assist with the development, enhancement and implementation of products and services geared for commercial/community accounts
Assist in the management and risk of the commercial portfolio
Assist with the continued growth of Broadview's presence in the SBA market
Partner with the Business Solutions Advisors to enhance product offerings, educate members, and develop more holistic relationships while ensuring long‑term sustainability and profitable growth
Participate on selected community and non‑for‑profit boards within the community
Other duties as needed
Minimum Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent; Master’s Degree Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with commercial or community lending, originating loans; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Financial training and credit counseling experience preferred
Compensation $130,000–$155,000 per year, plus a competitive benefits package.
