Job Summary Process and stock quality produce merchandise on shelves and displays in a careful, clean, neat, and expedient manner, ensuring items are fresh and appealing while delivering excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to work at multiple store locations as needed.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow instructions.
Ability to accommodate a schedule based on store business needs.

Core Responsibilities
Commit to the “Golden Rule” and work with other associates to build a strong produce team.
Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously.
Work in a style that is Respectful, Supportive, and Totally Team Oriented (RSTO).
Be knowledgeable about all types of produce, including taste, preparation methods, and price differences.
Offer product suggestions.
Stock product and displays, ensuring proper grading, rotating, crisping, trimming, wrapping, watering, and sanitation practices are followed; use first-in, first-out.
Price and label product accurately.
Assist in checking and verifying produce department receiving as needed.
Receive, unload, and store daily deliveries in designated areas to protect product quality.
Observe all store rules, company policies, and shift operating hours as assigned by the produce manager.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations.
Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and follow company dress code.
Practice the “Cleaner’s Creed” and proper sanitation procedures.
Process merchandise according to production guidelines, handle damaged/spoiled products per policy, and help control damaged goods.
Keep back room, cooler, freezer, fans, drains, and display cases organized and clean; monitor temperature and report refrigeration failure immediately to management.
Keep work area swept, clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards; report hazards immediately.
Exercise safe practices when lifting, moving, and cleaning equipment.
Secondary Job Functions
Occasional calls to the front end to help bag during busy times.
Replenish and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste and costs.
Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, or property damage.
Complete onboarding e‑learnings and checklist within 30 days of hire.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Frequency
– Crawling: Never; Sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, climbing up to 8 ft., and crouching: Occasionally; Carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs., bending, reaching at waist or overhead: Frequently; Standing/walking on tile or concrete floor, handling, speaking, seeing, smelling, hearing: Continuously.
Safety Risks
– Loud noise, slippery/crowded floor surface, hazardous equipment, skin irritants, toxic exposure, dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions: Occasionally; Twisting of back and neck, contact with sharp objects: Frequently.
Equipment used: Wrapper, scale, pineapple core machine, pallet jack, pressure washer, crate opener, pricing gun, knives, case cutter, power jack, trash compactor.

Working Conditions: Inside and under cold temperatures.
Salary Range Hiring range based on MA Pay Transparency requirements: $15.00 - $17.90 per hour.
