Coordinate data collection from verbal instructions, sketches, drawings, or engineering specifications and incorporate this information into working plans, layouts and detailed drawings. Follow current company procedures and standards to ensure drawings are completed with quality and consistency. Work from notes, verbal instructions, sketches, and drawings to prepare working plans, layouts, and detailed drawings; review and resolve design details not completely defined. Determine the best combination of preliminary information and contributing data to develop the final design. Develop specifications, designs or drawings using engineering principles and established company standards, procedures, and instructions. Follow CAD best practices for model creation, drawing creation, file management and revision control to complete projects with minimal errors. Verify completed work, check dimensions, Bills of Materials, materials to be used, quantities, and processing information; ensure adherence to best practices. Provide scheduling, costing and technical information concerning the designs supported, as well as status updates to internal departments and external vendors. Resolve mechanical and fabrication problems with designed or purchased parts used in a design; document changes per engineering change procedures. Provide regular feedback and updates to project team members and immediate supervisor about the status of drafting tasks. Assist in the development of drafting automation tools; may perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G Suite. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD 2018 or later. Solid problem-solving skills; able to manage multi-task work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects from multiple product lines. Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with colleagues; provide mentorship and guidance to other drafting positions. Ability to complete most projects with minimal technical assistance. Detailed understanding of bolted tanks and/or aluminum geodesic domes. Education and Qualifications

Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred. 5-10 years of relevant drafting experience required. Senioriy and Employment Details
