Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The primary responsibility of the Recertification Specialist is to perform all resident's annual and interim recertifications in accordance with CHA and HUD guidelines
Generate, serve and deliver resident correspondence including but not limited to rent correspondence, flyers, letters, and memos
Counsels' residents on rent payments and discusses reasons for any schedule's changes to their rents. Must be able to explain ACOP and lease terms, conditions, and policies
Performs all aspects of the Movie-In and Move-Out process including Resident and unit status updates. Assists with collecting and posting rents
Generates and submits transfer packages, lease additions, reasonable accommodations and other residents' requests
Performs errands as they relate to the operations of the property
Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations
Education/Experience
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and maintain follow-up on a number of projects simultaneously
Must handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement and be resourceful
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Customer service experience in a hospitality or customer facing industry required
Subscribe fully to all policies and procedures of the Company and be prepared to enforce them at all times
Work Environment/Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers/printers, and filing cabinets.
This position requires sitting, bending, stooping, or standing as necessary. Our offices are equipped with electronic desks for standing or sitting.
