Salary: $23.24 to $28.28 per hour

Pay Frequency: 24 Pay Periods Per Year

Job Summary: As part of the Employment Team, the Employment Specialist works with clients experiencing homelessness to find and retain sustainable employment opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

Provide field-based and onsite employment-related case management services in the areas of, but not limited to, assessment, community integration, employment linkage, procurement of benefits and all other services needed to assist clients in reaching their Individualized Service Plan goals.

Conduct employability assessments of participants, including assessing readiness for work, physical and mental capabilities.

Conduct employability assessments of clients, considering client’s social support network, multi-cultural and socio-economic factors, mental health symptoms, and reported barriers to employment when curating individualized job targets.

Develop and update Individualized Employment Plans for enrolled participants.

Maintain complete and accurate records and ensure timely updates on client participation and communicate progress to case managers.

Provide job readiness skills training such as resume development, interviewing skills and job search techniques.

Ethics and Boundaries : Maintain ethical and professional standards, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing the right thing while maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience in employment related services for a vulnerable population.

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year of experience in employment related services for a vulnerable population.

Mandatory Requirements

Have employment eligibility verification.

Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training.

Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:

Tuberculosis Test

Background Screening

Drug Test

Driving

All candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties, and the ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage.

Employment Eligibility All applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. PATH does not sponsor visas.

PATH does not employ individuals who are currently receiving services from PATH or had received services within the past two years.

California-Based Work Expectations All work must be performed within California. PATH does not offer fully remote positions. Some roles may involve a hybrid schedule but do not include home work.
