An Escrow Assistant Notary’s primary responsibility is to support the escrow process by preparing and organizing documents, assisting with closings, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. They also serve as a notary, verifying signatures and documents as required by law.
The Escrow Assistant Notary is a critical member of the support staff and provides personalized secretarial and organized administrative support as needed in a professional and timely manner. The duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking, with attention to detail and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Document Preparation: Preparing and organizing escrow documents, including contracts, title reports, and closing documents.
Closing Assistance: Assisting with the closing process, including explaining documents, securing signatures, and reviewing settlement sheets.
Notary Services: Notarizing documents as required by law, verifying signatures, and ensuring compliance with notary laws.
Customer Service: Responding to customer inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring smooth communication with all parties involved in real estate transactions.
Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to escrow officers, including filing, data entry, and general office tasks.
Compliance: Ensuring all transactions are handled legally and in accordance with escrow procedures and regulations.
Qualifications
Must be a licensed notary in Arizona. High school diploma or equivalent required; some experience in real estate or escrow may be helpful. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Familiarity with real estate laws, escrow procedures, and notary laws. Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and escrow software.
