Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Oyster Harbors Marine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. As a Marine Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of marine engines and systems, providing on-site service to our clients across the New England region. Experience with winterization and fiberglass repair is a significant bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on a variety of marine engines, including outboard, inboard, and sterndrive systems. Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, and cooling systems on boats. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve issues. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Travel to various locations within the New England region to perform on-site repairs and maintenance. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and technologies to provide the best possible service. Perform winterization services to prepare boats for off-season storage. Conduct fiberglass repair work to restore and maintain boat hulls and other components.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in marine mechanics preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a marine mechanic. Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. Experience with winterization and fiberglass repair is a significant bonus. Basic technician tools are the responsibility of the applicant; specialty tools will be provided.
