Summary:
The CAD Drafter is pivotal in supporting construction operations by utilizing Autodesk AEC products. This role involves preparing as-built updates, creating design and as-built exhibits, drafting plans, and developing 3D models using both as-built and topographical data. The CAD Drafter will ensure that all work is complete and accurate and coordinate closely with survey field crews. Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Autodesk AEC products to provide comprehensive support for construction operation needs. Prepare monthly as-built updates and ensure their accuracy and completeness before turnover to project management. Create detailed design and as-built exhibits to assist and support project management. Draft detailed plans and as-built plans, including markups for constructing construction documents. Develop accurate 3D utility models using as-built data and create 3D surfaces from topographical data. Coordinate with survey field crews to ensure they have the most up-to-date files. Assist in organizing and maintaining all CAD data effectively. Use Trimble Business Center to create design surfaces for machine control and perform volume calculations. Requirements:
Proficiency in Autodesk AEC products and experience with Trimble Business Center. Strong capability in 3D modeling and drafting using CAD software. In-depth knowledge of construction document creation and management. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a keen ability to work effectively with teams. High attention to detail with a commitment to reviewing work for completeness and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is also considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in ACAD Civil 3D. Familiarity with software pertinent to land development and a background in the industry.
