Schedule / Hours Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Location: 3216 N 3rd St, Phoenix AZ 85016

Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day HR operations and will work in close coordination with the Human Resources Team. The HR Generalist will provide administrative support for all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, record keeping, benefits, compliance and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains company personnel records and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Maintains and audits HR records in areas of responsibility for data integrity and generates reports as needed or as requested.

Provides full-cycle recruitment; updates job vacancies on all recruiting platforms, screens, sources resumes and coordinates interviews for Hiring Managers.

Coordinates onboarding programs and ensures pre-employment items are completed; offers letters, background and reference checks, health screening, employment verifications, tax forms, etc. Schedules and performs new employee orientation and training. Assists with the creation and maintenance of job descriptions and employee classification for all positions within NAC.

Works closely with the Accounting Department and payroll team to ensure they have all necessary human resource data complete for payroll.

Assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions. Provides regular communication on benefits changes or updates.

Continually updates job knowledge and skills in employment practices and trends, by participating in educational opportunities.

Ensures adherence to department and organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

Meets identified HR business goals that contribute to overall NAC business goals.

Educational Requirement / Work Experience

Associate’s degree in human resources, business or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Three to five years’ experience in the field of Human Resources.

Knowledge of core HR responsibilities and management.

Skills Requirement

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Experience in working with the Native American population preferred.

Demonstrates time management skills to achieve multiple tasks and job completion to agreed-upon deadlines and managing tasks efficiently.

Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.

Fair Labor Standards Act This position is Exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws. Non‑Exempt employees are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week.
