$45,000.00/yr - $52,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from The Axel Group, LLC The Axel Group is seeking a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Prelitigation Paralegal to join our client's team based out of Clifton, NJ! This client is a lifestyle law firm with a family-first culture offering a competitive salary, employee-paid benefits, and a strong 401k plan! Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of pre-litigation personal injury cases. Conduct initial client intake and gather relevant documentation (accident reports, insurance info, medical records). Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather information. Request and review medical records and bills from providers. Prepare demand packages and send them to insurance companies. Follow up with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements. Draft correspondence, legal documents, and settlement statements. Track and manage medical treatment timelines and ensure lien resolution. Coordinate property damage claims, lost wage documentation, and other damages. Maintain accurate and organized case files in the case management system. Assist attorneys with case evaluations and preparation for litigation if needed. Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in personal injury law (pre-litigation focus preferred). Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Needles, Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate). Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process and applicable laws. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Additional Benefits:
