Position:
Laundry Assistant
NHC Place at Cool Springs
is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The role involves collecting dirty linen from nursing units, sorting laundry, and operating washers and dryers. The shift is from 3pm to 11pm.
Responsibilities:
Report on time and collect dirty laundry as instructed.
Separate clean and dirty linens at all times.
Check water temperature of washing machines to ensure compliance with regulations.
Clean lint traps regularly.
Monitor levels of detergents, softeners, and bleach.
Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and equipment.
Transfer dry clothes from the dryer, fold, and store properly.
Operate washing machines and dryers following manufacturer and center policies.
Report equipment issues to the supervisor.
Follow all federal, state, and center policies and procedures.
Work safely with chemicals, following proper procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
