Overview

Receipt Entry Specialist II, Business Office, Downtown Nashville (PLZ) – Heritage Medical Associates. Post payments and contractual adjustments both electronically and manually for all insurance carriers accurately and timely to ensure efficiency in the revenue cycle management process. Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned. Responsibilities

Import Electronic Remit Advice (ERA) into Practice Management System (Allscripts) Posting of all insurance payments, denials and correspondence Reconciling daily batches against EFT report Effective verbal and written communication between departments (i.e. Managers, Insurance Analyst, Accounting) Assist Insurance Analyst with trends, EOB discrepancies, payment posting transactions, etc. Recognize overpayments/credits and report to Refund Specialist(s) Provide clear understanding of posted transactions by noting accounts accordingly Fulfill month end requirements Work with little supervision Maintain basic accounting background Utilize prior medical office experience as applicable Knowledge of payer denial / remark codes Strong knowledge of billing fundamentals including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes Maintain excellent attendance Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of heavy electronic remit posting (prefer 2-3 years) 1 year of Medical Billing experience (prefer 1-2 years) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong computer and ten-key skills Highly productive Problem solving Teamwork Detail-oriented Organized Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
