Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Real Estate Credit Analyst
to join their Miami-based team. This role will primarily focus on
underwriting and financial modeling
for commercial real estate transactions, with additional responsibilities supporting
debt originations . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate finance, excellent modeling skills, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities
Underwriting & Modeling (Primary Focus)
Analyze and underwrite commercial real estate transactions across various asset classes (multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality). Build and maintain detailed financial models including cash flow projections, bridge loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, debt sizing, and sensitivity analyses. Assess borrower creditworthiness, market conditions, and asset performance. Prepare investment memoranda and credit packages for internal review and approval. Debt Originations (Secondary Focus)
Assist originators in structuring and pricing debt solutions for clients. Participate in client meetings and calls to understand financing needs. Support the preparation of term sheets and loan proposals. Coordinate with legal, capital markets, and closing teams to facilitate transaction execution. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (Master's or CFA a plus). 1-3 years of experience in real estate credit, investment banking, or lending. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Argus or similar software is a plus. Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Seniority level
