Rapid Rehousing Specialist Mental Health Partnerships (MHP) seeks a part‑time

Rapid Rehousing Specialist

to support participants, families, and community partners in securing short and long‑term housing and fostering recovery and self‑sufficiency. The role is based at the Recovery Learning Center, 7200 Chestnut St, Upper Darby, PA 19082 and offers a flexible schedule of 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $28.00.

Responsibilities

Connect‑to‑Permanency (70%)

Collaborate with participants to identify resources and supports that increase self‑sufficiency, community integration, and inclusion.

Assist with program orientation, recovery plans, and stable housing acquisition, and facilitate progress reviews.

Collect and document intake information and maintain accurate records in MHP’s electronic health record system.

Ensure compliance with housing quality standards, Fair Market Rent, and regulatory inspections.

Maintain financial paperwork and assist participants in managing rent and utilities.

Build relationships with property owners, referral sources, and county agencies; attend professional meetings.

Coordinate benefit acquisition and crisis self‑management, peer support, and budgeting.

Participate in recertification meetings and act as property‑owner liaison.

Maintain all MHP policies and report violations.

Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP’s mission.

Delco Rise (30%)

Collaborate with participants to assess strengths, challenges, and goals; identify supports and resources.

Develop self‑directed recovery plans and coordinate relevant services.

Assist participants in community engagement and ensure their safety during events.

Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation.

Create weekly schedules two weeks in advance to meet program productivity standards.

Physical Requirements

Sit at a desk with ergonomically appropriate equipment.

Lift up to 15 lbs.

Remain alert throughout the shift, including breaks.

Communicate clearly and be prepared for exposure to loud or vulgar language.

Maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for flexible shifts.

Spend up to 50% of time in community settings or outreach.

Travel within the community by foot, vehicle, or public transit.

Carry computer equipment and navigate stairs with it.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, etc.); Master’s preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Housing Quality Standards certificate within 6 months of hire.

BHTEN certification or ability to obtain within one year.

Ability to obtain a prison ID if required.

Knowledge of the local mental‑health system.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle access.

Credentialed Certified Peer Specialist preferred.

Basic computer skills for electronic health records, email, and time‑sheet management.

Strong oral and written communication, cultural competence, teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, and problem solving.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Certification in First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain one.
