West Plains Bank and Trust Company opened in 1883 and is the longest continually operating business in West Plains. Loan Processor I Role: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing, document drawing, funding, and closing real estate loans. Provides customer service in the absence of the Mortgage Loan Officer. Major Duties and Responsibilities Respond to borrower inquiries in a timely and accurate fashion. Enter loans on the loan origination system and generate the appropriate disclosures. Work with Underwriter/Investor to assure compliance of loans to all applicable investor requirements, laws and regulations. Prepare processing and closing documents. Order and review appraisals, pest inspections, and other necessary items from vendors. Obtain initial insurance binders or copies of policies from borrowers or insurance agents. Review policies for adequacy of coverage and listing of the Bank as lien holder. Pull and review credit history information on potential borrowers. Perform loan closings with borrowers. Forward closing loan packets to released servicer, review final title policy and recorded deed of trusts to servicer. Pull flood certifications and perform necessary follow-up. Review file to ensure that proper documents and disbursements are prepared accurately for the closing and are consistent with approval conditions. Review files after closing to ensure that all documents required and loan closing conditions have been satisfied. Forward deed of trust to County Recorder and follow-up to insure proper recording of liens. Prepare releases and satisfactions for loans. Price and lock loan interest rates with various mortgage investors. GRADE:

Administrative Support Workers Knowledge & Skills & Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Other Skills: Job Characteristics: Ability to read and understand loan documents. Understanding of basic lending terms; i.e. interest, principal, etc. Working closely with loan officers and underwriter to originate loan. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, critical thinking skills, initiative to work on your own and able to multi-task. Above average math skills. Ability to ask questions. Attention to detail and follow through is a must. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to be a team player and to be committed to the Bank.
