King of Prussia, PA . Work with customers and prospective customers to assist them in identifying and securing a mortgage loan that is appropriate for their individual financial circumstances and is designed to help them achieve their financial goals, including home ownership. Requires acting on internal leads but also cultivating external lead sources to generate mortgage loan originations. A significant amount of time will be spent building relationships and soliciting first mortgages with realtors, builders, accountants, lawyers, financial advisors, and other referral sources to obtain mortgage loan applications. Develops and expands referral sources to solicit first mortgages and maintains a continual stream of origination volume. Maintains regular contact with Realtors in their offices and on-site at open house events. Meets with builders on job sites to discuss lending options related to clients they have building homes. Seeks opportunities to meet with developers, participate in building and trade shows, and attend real estate-related mixers to build and forge new relationships. Maintains contact and meets with centers of influence such as attorneys, accountants, lawyers, and financial advisors. Collects and analyzes applicants’ financial information at branch locations to assess their financial circumstances and determine qualification for specific loans. Interviews applicants, providing information on income, assets, investments, debt, credit history, bankruptcies, judgments, liens, and property characteristics. Identifies customer needs, evaluates them against available financial products, and recommends suitable options, explaining risks and benefits. Recommends loan terms and conditions. Engages in persuasive sales activity to encourage potential customers to do business with the company and cross-promotes other services and financial products to outside referral sources. Performs related work including obtaining and analyzing financial and credit data, ensuring loan conformity with terms, following up via telephone and email, completing paperwork, preparing supporting materials, attending meetings, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Maintains ongoing communication with customers throughout the process to ensure understanding. Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience:
Minimum of 4 years in residential mortgage lending, with established outside referral sources and proven ability to develop and maintain relationships outside the organization. Each employee is responsible for understanding and acting in accordance with all compliance policies, regulations, and training requirements. This role is fully commissioned.
