The
Legal Billing Appeals Specialist
will collaborate with and support the Appeals Administrator in facilitating the appeals process from start to finish. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective prioritization, and clear communication to ensure timely and accurate appeal submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve data from various e-Billing platforms and prepare appeal template emails for attorney review and response.
Monitor appeal-related emails and send timely follow-ups and reminders to ensure both internal and external deadlines are met.
Review appeal responses and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Convert documents to PDF format and accurately label attachments for submission with appeals.
Submit appeals in accordance with clients’ specified submission preferences.
Provide backup coverage for time-sensitive matters, as needed, to support the Appeals Administrator.
Requirements:
Prior law firm experience, specifically within the insurance defense field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Pay range: $21.50 - $32.26 per hour
