A leading real estate development and management firm is seeking a detail-oriented

Real Estate Collections Paralegal

to join its high-performing team. This position is

fully on site,

with potential for one remote day per week,

in Douglaston, NY.

Who You Are

Paralegal with a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in real estate law Experienced in NYC housing law (DHCR & HPD), tenant relations, and legal compliance Skilled in managing legal cases, financial records, and resident communications Proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Office with strong analytical and reporting abilities Clear communicator with a professional approach to sensitive tenant matters What You’ll Do

Oversee resident outreach, payment plans, and ledger accuracy Manage legal case preparation, documentation, and coordination with counsel Ensure compliance with DHCR and HPD regulations and resolve violations Track legal actions, update tenant records, and generate monthly reports Prepare notices, agreements, and legal correspondence Monitor legal expenses and reconcile attorney invoices What Success Looks Like

Legal cases are resolved in a timely manner, with accurate documentation Compliance is maintained across all properties Financial records and reports are consistently accurate and up to date Communication with residents and internal teams is clear Legal costs are tracked and managed within budget Salary Range:

$90,000 – 100,000 annually, based on experience
