JOB SUMMARY: The Telephone Sales Representative CA and TX is responsible for handling telephone calls from internal and external customers. This position supports internal business partners and their CA and TX based members in facilitating a purchase of a Home Warranty product. The Telephone Sales Representative must reside in TX or CA and hold a valid Personal Lines Insurance Producer or General Lines Property & Casualty Producer license for the state of California or Texas. They must adapt to a fast‑paced sales environment that provides opportunities for both inbound and outbound contacts.

Job Scope Supports Sears Home Services Service Contract internal and external customers through inbound (IB) and outbound (OB) phone interactions. The role is to influence and assist members with obtaining Home Warranty coverage.

Reports To Mgr, Sales & Service.

Responsibilities

Must be a Texas or California resident.

Must have a valid Personal Lines Insurance Producer or General Lines Property & Casualty Producer license for either the state of TX or CA.

Connect with customers via telephone and service their needs to sell Protection Agreements, positioning additional services using a scripted sales presentation and established call strategies.

Apply communication and customer‑service skills, manage, and resolve customer concerns.

Deliver the sales presentation with passion, commitment, courtesy, and professionalism in conformance to policy and procedure.

Offer the best value for the customer in terms of price, discounts, and additional products; highlight benefits and overcome objections.

Record agreements and sales accurately.

Maintain high product knowledge through onsite and online training.

Collaborate with management staff and teammates to achieve individual and team sales goals.

Adhere to ethical selling policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

1–2 years of related experience.

License or certification in a relevant field.

Minimum 18 years of age.

Required Skills

Residence in TX or CA with a valid relevant insurance license.

Prior experience or knowledge in Home Warranty or Real Estate is critical.

Effective sales and service influencing skills based on call type.

Fundamental understanding of Home Warranty policies.

Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Basic mathematical function usage.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows programs.

A team player who works closely with customers, builders, and subcontractors in a fast‑paced environment.
