Position Summary:
This is a key role for BayFirst’s CORE SBA team which will include support for Director of SBA Closing Department and CORE Closers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review Purchase Contract documents, leases and title commitments
Draft Affidavits, Change in Terms and other documents
Assist Closers as needed including equity injection verification, review draft loan documents, reconcile Settlement Statements, prepare Escrow/Title Instructions
Remain current on pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance and SOP with SBA
Communicate with borrower, outside counsel and escrow/title as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements include but are not limited to:
Three to five years of experience processing or closing SBA 7a and 504 loans
Paralegal certification
Knowledge of contract and loan documents
Knowledge of required collateral documentation and collateral perfection for various loan types
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties
Ability to prioritize tasks
Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely, efficient manner with accuracy
Self-starter that is able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to identify issues
Notary and willingness to become RON notary
Ability to meet strict timelines
Strong computer skills including Word and Excel along with an ability to quickly learn new systems
Helpful but not required: Simplifile recording experience and Hubspot
