With Farm Bureau Financial Services, our client/members can feel confident knowing their family, home, cars, and other property are protected. We value a culture where integrity, teamwork, passion, service, leadership, and accountability are at the heart of every decision we make and every action we take. We're proud of our more than 80-year commitment to protecting the livelihoods and futures of our client/members and creating an atmosphere where our employees thrive. What You'll Do:

As a Catastrophe Claims Representative, you will respond immediately to CAT storm events to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate property claims involving homeowner, farm, and commercial risks. You will represent Farm Bureau in the field, maintaining a professional, service-oriented attitude, and building effective relationships with coworkers, supervisors, agents, policyholders, and others. Your focus will be on accurately documenting investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and plans of action to develop a defendable claims file. You must be able to negotiate professionally with clients, members, and contractors to reach fair settlements. During storm events covering our 8-state territory (KS, NE, IA, MN, SD, AZ, NM, UT), deployment can last up to three weeks. In non-storm periods, you will assist in managing claims, reviewing and paying replacement cost claims, and following up on pending storm losses, alongside personal development and training. What It Takes To Join Our Team: College degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of construction and estimating systems (Xactimate) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation abilities. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with analytical capabilities. Proficiency in computer skills to quickly learn our systems. Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records, as the role includes a company-paid vehicle. Travel up to 90% for catastrophe claims in the field. On-call availability for deployment at any time, including extended periods and weekends. Ability to climb onto ladders, roofs, and structures to inspect damage, and lift at least 75 pounds. Progress towards industry education outlined in career development paths is expected. What We Offer You:

Beyond a competitive paycheck, we provide career development, educational opportunities, an enhanced 401K with match, low-cost health, dental, and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, paid time off, wellness facilities, daycare, cafeteria, and potential hybrid work arrangements. Farm Bureau is a place where the grass is truly greener! If you're interested in joining a company that values employees, supports growth, and offers excellent benefits, apply today! We are not considering candidates requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time, permanently. We cannot sponsor or transfer employment visas or work authorizations, including OPT status.
