Mitigation Managers lead our production activities in the field, making decisions that impact the success of the assignment. They monitor and inspect tasks for commercial and residential restoration jobs to ensure completion of drying and demolition, prepare/review documentation including notes, photos, and reports according to company policies, explain processes to customers, and supervise technicians. Strong technical skills and excellent customer service skills are essential. You may assist the Estimator or create estimates in Xactimate following company guidelines and IICRC standards. A basic construction background, including understanding of building materials affected by various damages, is required. Job Responsibilities
Retrieve work orders, check routes, ensure equipment and supplies are loaded, and arrive at work sites. Complete assigned jobs adhering to company processes, maintaining quality within budget. Monitor active jobs and communicate with customers. Maintain records of personnel and resources, and communicate billable events. Create estimates using applicable software. Inspect and scope jobs onsite, collaborate with Crew Chief/Lead Tech. Document loss with photos and upload into the system. Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate. Communicate job details and next steps to customers and team members. Interface with adjusters and customers to resolve issues. Perform quality assurance inspections, obtain signatures, and process payments as needed. Prepare documentation for insurance reimbursement. Train new technicians or team members as required. Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. 3-5 years of mitigation or disaster restoration management experience; IICRC certification preferred. Knowledge of insurance restoration and construction industry. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Ability to work independently or lead a team. Professionalism, maturity, and customer service orientation. Experience managing teams of 2 or more. Experience with data entry on tablets or mobile devices. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. On-call schedule availability. Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly. Stand, walk, squat, crawl, and crouch for extended periods. Effective communication skills. Ability to wear respirators when required.
