The Generator Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of natural gas-powered generator sets (gen-sets) used in Upstream Data’s operations. This role is key to ensuring the reliability and performance of power generation equipment that supports our modular facilities and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled maintenance on natural gas gen-sets, including oil changes, filter replacements, tune-ups, and inspections Diagnose and repair issues with engines, control systems, fuel systems, ignition systems, and other components. Conduct performance testing and system checks to ensure optimal generator operation. Document all work performed, maintain accurate maintenance logs, and follow company standards for record-keeping. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for troubleshooting. Assist with new generator installations and commissioning. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols. Collaborate with electricians, facility staff, and management on generator-related projects.
