**Squared Pizza** is seeking a skilled and passionate **Pizza Maker** to join our back-of-house team! If you are dedicated to crafting delicious pizzas from scratch and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we want to hear from you. **About Us:** Squared Pizza is a fast-casual pizza shoppe specializing in carry-out, pick-up, and delivery options. We’re known for our delicious take on Detroit-style pizza. We make our dough daily, only use the freshest ingredients, and even have Boba Tea to quench your thirst. We are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for our guests and providing top-notch food and drinks. **Job Summary:** As a Pizza Maker at Squared Pizza, you will be a vital part of our kitchen team, responsible for all aspects of pizza creation, from dough preparation to final baking. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency while adhering to our recipes and standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for producing excellent food. **Responsibilities:** * **Dough Preparation:** Prepare pizza dough from scratch daily, following recipes and ensuring proper consistency and quality. Manage dough inventory and ensure proper storage. * **Food Preparation:** Prepare and portion pizza toppings, sauces, and other ingredients according to recipes and par levels. Chop vegetables, prepare meats, and ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients. * **Pizza Creation:** Assemble pizzas accurately and efficiently according to customer orders and menu specifications. Stretch dough, apply sauces and toppings, and ensure consistent pizza presentation. * **Oven Operation & Baking:** Operate pizza ovens safely and efficiently, ensuring pizzas are baked to perfection with proper crust and topping doneness. Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed. * **Kitchen Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance:** Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including mixers, prep tables, ovens, and utensils, according to established procedures. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to management. * **Back of House Support:** Assist with other back-of-house tasks as needed, including dishwashing, receiving and stocking deliveries, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness and organization. * **Inventory Management:** Assist in monitoring inventory levels and notifying management of ingredient needs. Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste. * **Adherence to California Regulations:** Comply with all California health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines. Follow all company policies and procedures. **Qualifications:** * Must be at least 16 years of age. * Previous experience as a pizza maker or in a similar kitchen role preferred, but not required. * Knowledge or willingness to learn about pizza dough making, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment operation. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency. * Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. * Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods. * **Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.** * Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. * Food handler's certificate (or ability to obtain one upon hire, as required by California law). * Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience. * Employee discounts on delicious Squared Pizza. * Opportunity for growth and advancement within the company. * Positive and team-oriented work environment. **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Squared Pizza is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
