Customer Service Rep (Float) – Tioga Co. – Tioga State Bank General Summary
Services customers through teller transactions. Provides customer service to retain and grow relationships. Cross‑sells products and identifies business opportunities for referrals. Essential Functions/Major Duties
Services customers through teller transactions including cashing checks, processing deposits and accepting payments. Sells treasurers checks, money orders, etc. Provides customer service by greeting customers in a friendly manner. Responds to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Identifies customer products and service needs to enhance relationships while achieving financial goals by participating in sales promotions. Refers customers to appropriate personnel: Tioga State Investment Services, Commercial Loans, Mortgage Originators and Consumer Loans. Maintains an accurate cash drawer in accordance with balancing and cash handling standards. Produces accurate work documentation impacting other internal departments and external customers. Balances the vault and ATM machine(s). Duties Supporting Essential Functions
Maintains thorough knowledge of bank consumer products and services. Adheres to all policies, procedures and regulations governing retail banking. Maintains working knowledge of applicable software, systems and equipment. Participates to ensure daily responsibilities are met. Ensures supplies are replenished timely. Promotes a positive team environment by exhibiting core values. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of 1 year retail banking or customer service experience. • Ability to cash and process deposits accurately. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with banking software, ATM and vault. • Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and cross‑sell. • Willingness to maintain accurate cash drawer and balances.
