Job Summary At OTH Hotels Resorts, we believe true hospitality happens in the details—those unscripted moments of care, teamwork, and pride that make every event shine. The Banquet Houseperson & Steward is a vital part of that story, serving a dual role that bridges our Banquets and Culinary teams. From transforming meeting spaces to maintaining the heart of the kitchen, this position ensures every event flows seamlessly from preparation to presentation.

You’re not just setting up rooms or cleaning equipment—you’re creating the environment where memorable gatherings unfold and guests feel genuinely cared for.

Key Responsibilities

Review daily Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event schedules to prepare appropriate setups and breakdowns.

Set and refresh banquet and meeting spaces according to standards, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and décor.

Maintain full knowledge of hotel function spaces, layouts, and setup styles.

Ensure proper maintenance, use, and storage of all banquet equipment.

Follow safety and sanitation procedures, using correct cleaning chemicals per OSHA and hotel standards.

Return all reusable goods and equipment to designated storage after each event.

Communicate effectively with Banquets, Culinary, and Engineering teams to ensure timely setups and smooth transitions between functions.

Stewarding Support

Assist the kitchen team by washing, organizing, and storing all china, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment.

Keep all stewarding areas clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor and report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor.

Support culinary operations as needed during meal periods or special events.

Who You Are

A reliable, hard-working team player who takes pride in the behind-the-scenes details that make hospitality possible.

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and comfortable standing or walking for long periods.

Adaptable and efficient in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Dependable with strong time management and communication skills.

Knowledge of banquet setups or stewarding procedures preferred; training provided for the right candidate.

Available to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and early mornings or late evenings.
