Line Cook/Prep Cook (Summerfield Retirement Community). Summerfield Retirement Community is looking to hire a friendly cook for our dietary department. Pay rate starting at $15 per hour depending on experience. You will prepare appetizing meals by following prescribed recipes and menus, while adhering to all safety and health standards to ensure sanitary conditions in cooking and dining premises. Prior experience is required. You must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. Various shifts available. We serve senior residents, so a serving heart is required. Responsibilities
Prepare meals according to menu cycles with attention to cleanliness and order Able to prepare and provide meals to be served at designated times Clean food stations and wash cooking vessels and utensils Stock ingredients and monitor inventory Qualifications
Proven experience as cook Further experience in customer service will be appreciated Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines Aptitude in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances Friendly with good communication skills Good physical condition and stamina High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus Additional Information
Must be able to pass Drug Screen and Background Check Work some holidays and weekends Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: From $15.00 hourly
