Leadership Annual Giving Officer
Position will remain open until filled. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship at this time.
Responsibilities
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward an active portfolio of 200 leadership annual giving donors with a capacity of $5,000 or higher, focusing on gift asks in the $25,000+ range.
Develop and implement targeted leadership annual giving solicitations for milestone reunion classes and classes leading up to milestone years.
Partner with colleagues in Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement to leverage reunion volunteers to identify leadership annual giving prospects and to encourage participatory giving to The Fund for DePauw.
Develop a strategic plan to increase giving via Tiger Club and to utilize athletics affinity groups for ongoing solicitation strategies, especially at leadership giving levels; serve as staff liaison with Athletics for all Tiger Club fundraising.
Actively develop and lead alumni volunteers—particularly in reunion or Tiger Club programs—to focus on increasing, retaining, and acquiring new donors through special events including the Day of Giving, Giving Tuesday, and other DePauw traditions.
Participate in the collaborative process of the strategic planning for the overall Annual Giving program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (four‑year college or university) required.
Minimum of three years of progressive development or related experience, with experience managing a portfolio preferred.
Strong understanding of the mission of liberal arts institutions.
Travel from campus as needed to conduct solicitations or recruit volunteer leaders for assigned programs.
Normal work responsibilities include time outside of normal office hours, some evenings and weekends.
Skills & Abilities
Intermediate communication skill—read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
Math ability—add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer skills—knowledge of database management systems, CRM, and Microsoft Office products, including Excel; desire to learn new products related to the role required.
CFRE certification desirable.
