The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Essential job functions
Provide high level of service to all retail and installer customers; support store management with assigned tasks. Follow and promote company customer service programs (e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot). Greet and assist customers in selecting merchandise; assist professional customers as needed. Complete required company training relevant to the position. Answer store phone calls per policy; look up parts, quote prices, and offer premiums and related items; promote Low-Price Guarantee. Maintain and secure the cash drawer; process cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns per policy; address customer complaints amicably. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking, cleaning, and related tasks. Perform daily operational tasks (e.g., process returns to distribution center, assist with stock adjustments and cycle counts). Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and approvals. Perform in-store services (where laws allow) such as installing wipers, testing/changing batteries, testing charging systems, scanning trouble codes, replacing headlight capsules. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed, subject to driving eligibility requirements. All other duties as assigned. Skills, education, knowledge, experience, abilities
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service. Ability to multitask, handling customers in-store and on the phone simultaneously. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service. ASE certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Company information and statements
