At this time, due to our financial commitments to our missionaries, our monthly rent, and other operating expenses, the pastoral compensation package that we can offer is modest. Currently, we are able to offer a $300-350 weekly housing stipend. Compensation may be increased as our financial situation improves. Our new Pastor may need to be bi-vocational to adequately support his family.

The Big Picture Colonial Baptist Church (colonialbaptistchurchct.com) is seeking a bi-vocational pastor to shepherd the congregation through preaching, leadership, and pastoral care. The Church Located in Killingly, CT, Colonial Baptist Church is a small congregation with 7 members and 16 attendees. Our previous pastor resigned on October 30th after serving for six years. We seek a pastor who can lead our congregation, help us grow, and enhance our evangelism efforts within the community. We meet at the Killingly Grange on Sunday mornings. The church owns a 13-acre lot for future development. While we do not have a parsonage, some members have apartments available if the pastor and family need to relocate. The Qualifications The ideal candidate will meet the qualifications for overseer as outlined in
1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4 . They will provide kingdom leadership, focusing on the Great Commission, and be equipped to carry out the five functions of the New Testament church: evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
