Summary Manages student residence hall(s) overseeing daily operations and facilitating social and educational opportunities supporting personal growth for residents. This position requires on‑campus living in university‑provided housing.

Essential Job Functions

Supervises the daily operations of the student residence halls activity, including developing and implementing programs to provide students with the opportunity to meet others and engage in and connect with the campus environment

Develops and implements student programming to provide students with the opportunity to engage with the campus community and build an affinity for the university

Acts as a regular, on‑call emergency contact for the office of residential life and responds appropriately to crisis situations in accordance with university guidelines

Represents the department at events and activities including assigned task forces, committees, special projects and engagements (internal and external), as assigned

Responds to concerns from students, parents, and university community in a timely and supportive manner

Manages daily summer housing including summer orientation, admissions events and other programs

Maintains accurate room assignment and occupancy information for the hall

Oversees residence halls by addressing building maintenance and cleanliness concerns, coordinates with appropriate campus resources, as needed

Serves as a hearing officer for the office of student conduct, adjudicating student conduct cases, as necessary

Leads efforts to orient students and assists in their integration into campus life, including attending admissions events, in an effort to support student retention

Monitors the departmental budget

Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor's degree

Experience working in student affairs, residential life or other related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or greater in education, student affairs or a related field of study
