Parts Counterperson – Heritage Ford of Indiana
Heritage Ford offers a full‑time position for a Parts Counterperson. The role focuses on customer service, assisting customers with parts concerns, and maintaining the parts department.
Pay Range $35,000 - $45,000 per year
Responsibilities
Sell parts and services to meet customer needs.
Keep the parts department clean and orderly.
Maintain the retail sales floor and displays.
Assist the Parts Manager with inventory management.
Provide parts to service technicians as required.
Communicate efficiently with advisors and technicians.
Notify customers when ordered parts arrive.
Verify parts receiving documents.
Follow dealership cash, credit, and check processing procedures.
Attend training to maintain proficiency.
Use dealership equipment and resources safely.
Greet and acknowledge all customers.
Follow up on shortages and report to the Parts Manager.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Parts Manager.
Requirements
MUST HAVE PARTS DEPARTMENT EXPERIENCE
Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of parts room and shop environments.
Strong organization, attention to detail, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
Knowledge of computers and ability to learn inventory systems.
Excellent customer service skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical ability to lift, sit, walk around stock room.
All candidates must pass pre‑employment testing (background check, drug screen).
