Position Summary
The AVL Production Tech manages and supports the use of production technology to create compelling, distraction-free environments for Real Life ministry events and services at their assigned campus. This role provides hands‑on technical support while also equipping, training, and guiding volunteers who serve in technical and production roles. The ideal candidate is skilled in AVL systems, dependable under pressure, and committed to excellence in worship environments.
Key Responsibilities
Campus‑Specific Responsibilities (Clermont Campus)
Provide technical support for midweek events (e.g., MOMCO, RLCA events, Student Life setups).
Build healthy, collaborative working relationships with bands, artists, and production. \
Carry out additional production responsibilities outside of audio as assigned, ideally including:
Volunteer development
RF coordination
Inventory management
Program weekend lighting scenes.
Load weekend ProPresenter files.
Complete weekly QC for weekend services.
Serve as Sunday Support Staff as needed.
Ensure the Clermont Campus operates with excellence, cleanliness, and technical readiness.
Support occasional onsite recording of worship teams.
General Responsibilities & Duties
Attend team planning meetings, All Team meetings, and one‑on‑one development meetings as scheduled.
Assist with maintaining both campus‑owned and shared technical equipment.
Assist in training and equipping new volunteers.
Assist with stage setups and strikes.
Innovate and propose new ways to leverage technology within Real Life environments.
Perform additional AVL‑related duties as assigned by the Production Director.
Proposed Workdays:
Sunday–Thursday (with occasional Friday/Saturday responsibilities based on ministry needs).

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
or
relevant experience.
4+ years
of AVL experience in a church or corporate production environment.
Technical Skills
Strong technical abilities required to support high‑production environments.
Proficiency in mixing a high number of inputs and outputs in live settings, including operating services and hitting cues with consistency.
Working knowledge of:
Dante
Allen & Heath
consoles and systems
WAVES
plugins
Audio recording software
ProPresenter
Basic lighting operation
(GrandMA software preferred)
Ability to operate effectively and troubleshoot quickly under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well in both technical and non-technical environments.
